The Church of Solbackakyrkan at Holmsund belongs to the Swedish Evangelical Mission >>(Evangeliska fosterlandsstiftelsen, EFS). EFS is an independent organization within the Church of Sweden with emphasis on mission, layman participation and everyday Christianity. The aim for the work of EFS is to help people live close to Jesus Christ. It means to awaken people's interest in believing in God, to deepen the faith and show Christian faith in everyday life. The Church of Solbackakyrkan has a close cooperation with the parish of Holmsund, and wishes to offer a possibility of deepened communion in the parish - with preserved respect for those who want to come to church without obligations. Through an agreement between the Church of Solbackakyrkan and the parish of Holmsund we can use each other's facilities and staff. The Mission Association of EFS (EFS missionsförening i Holmsund) has at present 158 members.

During the autumn/fall there will be dinner on three occasions for a very low sum, namely 40 SEK for adults, 20 SEK for children or 100 SEK for a whole family. The next dinner will take place on 17 September, and the forthcoming on 15 October and 26 November.
