DeaconshipA deacon meets people with love and care, helps and supports them, shows respect for their needs in different situations in life. The role model in serving mankind and source of power is Jesus Christ. It is important that deaconship characterizes the work of the whole parish. We deacons have professional secrecy, just like social workers, and it is we who have a special responsibility for the deaconship of the parish. Here are some examples of what we do: open house and congregational meetings, therapy groups for mourners, private talks, house calls, candidates for confirmation groups, cooperation with public medical service and social services, and participation in Sunday services.
